Matcha is delicate – sensitive to heat, light, and air. That’s why we store all our matcha in the fridge until it’s time to pack and ship your order. This helps maintain its natural flavour, aroma, and colour for as long as possible.

Here’s how we handle your order:

Postage Order: Once your order is confirmed, we aim to pack and ship it within 1–2 days, depending on the shipping method and post office hours. If there’s a delay in processing, we’ll let you know.
Local Delivery: We’ll reach out by phone to confirm your address and delivery time. This helps minimise exposure to heat or weather.
Pick Up: Since we operate from a residential location, we’ll get in touch to arrange a pick-up time that works for you. This ensures your matcha is prepared and ready when you arrive.
Receiving: Please place your matcha in the fridge as soon as you receive it.

We aim to be flexible and responsive, so you can receive your matcha in the best possible condition.

To prepare matcha, you will need:

Chawan - Matcha bowl
Chashuka - Bamboo scoop
Chasen - Bamboo whisk
Tea sifter
Water at 70–80°C

How to Prepare:

Sift 1–2 scoops (about 1.5g per scoop with chashuka) of matcha into your chawan to remove clumps.
Add 60–70ml of hot water at 70–80°C (not boiling) to your chawan.
Whisk in a “W” or zig-zag motion using your chasen until a frothy layer forms on top. It is recommended to whisk for 25–45 seconds.
Immediately—straight or with milk for a matcha latte.

To maintain the freshness and quality of matcha, we recommend:

After purchase, store matcha in the fridge immediately, or in a cool, dark place.
Avoid exposing the matcha powder or container to heat, sunlight, air, and moisture.
Always use a dry chashaku or spoon when scooping the matcha.
Keep the moisture removal pack inside the container to prevent condensation.
Once opened, matcha should be consumed within 1–2 months for the best flavour.
